Fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera an Old Boy of MSC is to replace injured Dhammika Prasad in Sri Lanka World Cup squad.


Fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera an Old Boy of MSC is to replace injured Dhammika Prasad in Sri Lanka World Cup squad.

Paceman Dushmantha Chameera has been included in place of injured Dhammika Prasad in the 15 member national squad for the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
The Sri Lanka Cricket issuing a statement said Dushmantha Chameera will be included subject to receiving the ICC Technical Committee’s approval.
Prasad was injured on Saturday during practices with the national team.
The 23 year old Chameera represented Sri Lanka in the only ODI during the recently concluded 7 match series against New Zealand. He had figures of 2 for 60 in 8 overs.
Sri Lanka will take on New Zealand in the world cup opener on Saturday in Christchurch.

MSC Athletic Team won the 2014 47th All Island Sir John Tarbet Junior Championship, today, for the 5th consecutive year @. Abilipitiya Rajapakse Stadium. Thanks to Mr. Susan Thamel (POG,Coach), Mr. Philip Ranjith (Head Coach), Mr. Anton Niroshan (Dep. POG), Mr. Tony Silva (Dep. POG),Mr. Lalith Silva (Coach),Mr. Suranjith (Coach), Mr. Tharaka Perera (MIC),Mr. Ajith Priyantha (physio) for turning talents of our athletes into energy.

Mas. Praveen Amarasekara of MSC was selected the Best All Island School Boy Actor of 2014


Mas. Praveen Amarasekara of MSC was selected the Best All Island School Boy Actor of 2014 in  Senior Poetic English Drama, conducted by the Ministry of Education. MSC Senior Eng. Drama Group won the  All Island Second Place. Thanks to Ms. Nirmala Wijedasa (MIC) & Mr. Delon Weerasinghe (Trainer) :  Mas. Praveen Silva became the All Island Best  Senior English Orator 2014 in Impromptu Speech. We appreciate the effort by Ms. Nirmala Wijedasa who trained Praveen.

All Island English Drama (Poetic) Competitions 2014

     The Shakespeare Drama Troupe became the 02nd Runners up while Master Praveen Amarasekera won the "Best Actor" Award for his              
     excellent performance as "Pyramus" in "Mid Summer Nights Dream".
